There are some amazing perfumes and fragrances on the market at the moment; making them last longer is the only complaint!
Many scents applied in the morning will have worn off by the afternoon, needing a reapplication before the evening. But for those looking to maximise their fragrance lifespan, the following tips can help your scent last longer:
Steps to maximising perfume wear:
Apply to hydrated skin
Applying a source of occlusive moisture (products which stay on the skin for a long time such as XO Balm) to the skin before spraying your perfume is perfect for helping scent ‘stick’. As XO Balm is fragrance-free it won’t interfere with your perfume of choice.
Apply to pulse points and warm areas of the body
Wrists and the neck are traditional areas of fragrance application, as the heat helps to emit the fragrance, but applying to areas less brushed or rubbed, such as behind the knees and on the stomach can help your scent last all day.
Rubbing the skin after you have applied will make notes of the perfume dissolve quicker than intended. Spray the perfume on and allow to dry naturally to expand the wear of a fragrance.
